Our Environmental Priorities
The following are our environmental priorities:
- We are committed to reducing wastes generated by our operations, including greenhouse gases.

We will continue to produce high quality, energy efficient products. By providing the most energy efficient HVAC products in the industry, we will assist our customers in lowering their energy use and the greenhouse gas releases that result from that energy generation.
- We will gather data on our environmental performance, using established methodologies where possible and will make that data public. We will establish data driven environmental targets appropriate to our businesses.
- We will continue to advocate standards and codes that promote energy efficiency in the HVAC equipment markets in which we compete.
Key Elements of Our Environmental Policy
Here is what's at the heart of our environmental policy:
- Strict compliance with all applicable national, state, provincial and local laws and regulations for the protection of the environment by each of our business units. We also seek out appropriate opportunities to go beyond legal requirements where there are economically feasible opportunities to improve.
- Continuing design of products, processes and operating facilities worldwide that are environmentally sound, prevent pollution, conserve resources and energy, minimize the use of hazardous materials and reduce waste.
- Seeking opportunities to make our environmental performance better.
